Pangosaur is a 6/6 for three mana — one of the most efficient bodies in the game — but it bounces itself to your hand whenever any player plays a land, which in Commander means it rarely stays on the battlefield for more than a turn cycle. Run it only if your deck can exploit the repeated enters-the-battlefield trigger or generate value from the bounce; otherwise it's a 6/6 that never attacks.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |

| modern | not legal |
| pioneer | not legal |

| vintage | legal |

Commander is the one format where Pangosaur can find a home, specifically in landfall or ETB-abuse shells where the constant bouncing becomes a feature rather than a bug — every land drop at a four-player table is a trigger. In Legacy and Vintage, a 6/6 for three green is statistically impressive, but the self-bounce makes it unreliable as a threat since any opponent's fetch land undoes your board presence. Pangosaur is not legal in Modern, Pioneer, Standard, or Pauper, so the conversation is almost entirely academic outside Commander and the oldest formats.

Price Context
Current price
$0.53 bulk tier
At $0.53, Pangosaur is firmly bulk — you're paying for cardboard, not demand. The price reflects the card's narrow playability accurately and is unlikely to move without a new commander that makes the self-bounce genuinely broken.
