Oxidda Finisher is essentially a Commander card — the singleton format rewards narrow role-players when the payoff is high enough, and haste plus trample on an already-large threat can close a game on the spot. In Modern and Legacy it's outclassed; those formats want permanent haste enablers or spells that generate card advantage, not a one-shot effect stapled to a single creature. Pioneer has the same problem: the redundancy floor is higher and the card doesn't replace itself. Commander is where Oxidda Finisher earns its slot, specifically in red decks that go wide or power up a single enormous attacker and need to push through blockers on a critical turn.
