Order of the Mirror // Order of the Alabaster Host card art
Order of the Mirror // Order of the Alabaster Host is a two-mana 2/2 that transforms into a 4/4 flying lifelinker — strong stats for the cost, delivered on a card that asks almost nothing of you to flip. The back half is the whole reason to play it: a resilient white threat that wins races and closes games in creature-based strategies.

Format Analysis

In Commander, Order of the Mirror // Order of the Alabaster Host slots cleanly into white creature strategies that can consistently trigger the transform condition — token decks, life-gain builds, and anything that attacks in waves. Legacy, Modern, and Pioneer are too fast for a two-drop that needs setup before it threatens, and better two-drops exist in each format. Pauper is where it has the most non-Commander upside: white aggro and flicker shells can flip it reliably, and a 4/4 flying lifelinkr is a legitimate clock at common. Oathbreaker follows the same logic as Commander — good in the right shell, irrelevant elsewhere.

Price Context

Current price

$0.09 bulk tier

At $0.09, Order of the Mirror // Order of the Alabaster Host is pure bulk — you're picking it out of a dollar box, not tracking it on a buylist. Deep supply keeps the price floor here, and there's no realistic spike vector unless a future Commander precon or competitive breakout sends demand somewhere it hasn't been.
