Oracle's Attendants locks down one creature completely — it can't attack, block, or activate abilities as long as the Attendants are on the battlefield — at a cost of four mana and, critically, the creature it's enchanting must be one your opponent controls. It's a hard answer to a single threat, but four mana for a do-nothing aura that trades one-for-one with any removal is a steep ask in competitive tables.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | legal |
| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | not legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
In Commander, Oracle's Attendants fills the niche of a soft lock on a single problematic creature — a Blightsteel Colossus or Gishath that would otherwise end games. The problem is that four mana for an aura with no ETB effect and no protection leaves it vulnerable to any enchantment removal, and the threat simply returns the moment the Attendants leave play. In Legacy and Vintage, the card is legal but will never see play — those formats have access to far more efficient interaction, and a four-mana aura that doesn't permanently answer anything is nowhere near the power threshold. Oathbreaker has the same Commander-style logic: situationally useful as a stax piece against a specific signature spell or planeswalker threat, but still outclassed by hard removal.

Price Context
Current price
$0.31 bulk tier
At $0.31, Oracle's Attendants is firmly bulk — the price reflects the narrow use case and limited demand. Don't expect meaningful movement in either direction; it's the kind of card that sits in bulk bins and gets picked up once for a highly specific list.
