Ooze Patrol is a three-mana 2/2 that grows over time by amassing Oozes — serviceable as a snowball threat in dedicated tribal or amass shells, but too slow and too small to earn a slot in most lists. The floor is bad enough that unless your deck specifically rewards Ooze tokens or amass payoffs, this is a bench card.

In Commander, Ooze Patrol finds its only real home in Ooze tribal builds or decks that care about amass as a recurring mechanic — outside that narrow band, a 2/2 for three that grows incrementally is simply outclassed by the card pool. In 60-card formats like Modern and Pioneer, the competition is even stiffer; aggressive and midrange decks have no reason to run Ooze Patrol over threats that impact the board immediately. Legacy and Vintage ignore it entirely. Standard is the one format where limited card pools occasionally make bulk rares pull weight, but even there Ooze Patrol demands a dedicated synergy shell to justify the slot.

Price Context
Current price
$0.13 bulk tier
At $0.13, Ooze Patrol sits firmly in bulk territory — the kind of card you pull from a draft chaff pile without a second thought. That price is stable because demand is essentially zero outside niche tribal lists, and it's unlikely to move without a dedicated Ooze or amass support card pushing the archetype into relevance.
