Oko, the Ringleader
Legendary Planeswalker — Oko
At the beginning of combat on your turn, Oko becomes a copy of up to one target creature you control until end of turn, except he has hexproof.
+1: Draw two cards. If you've committed a crime this turn, discard a card. Otherwise, discard two cards.
−1: Create a 3/3 green Elk creature token.
−5: For each other nonland permanent you control, create a token that's a copy of that permanent.

Oko, the Ringleader lands and immediately threatens to bury opponents in card advantage — each copy of a spell you cast draws a card and generates a Food, and the ultimate closes games on its own. The six-mana cost is real, but a Doubling Season drop means you skip straight to the emblem, which makes the price tag irrelevant the turn it resolves.

In Commander, Oko, the Ringleader slots into any Simic or Temur shell that either spells-matters or wants a value engine that doesn't need protection to generate upside immediately. Powered eternal formats like Legacy and Vintage give him access to fast mana that gets him to six mana ahead of curve, but six-mana planeswalkers compete in crowded space there and he'll rarely be the best option in those shells. Modern and Pioneer are where he's most ambitious — he's playable but not dominant, requiring a deck built to protect him to get full value. Standard is likely his most accessible competitive home, where six mana is reachable without degenerate acceleration and the card-draw trigger compounds quickly in longer games.

Current price
$2.67 cheap tier
At $2.67, Oko, the Ringleader sits in the budget-rare tier — cheap enough to slot in without deliberation. Given that he's a marquee planeswalker with immediate on-board impact, that price likely climbs as the card finds its footing in Standard and Commander lists.
