Okina Nightwatch puts a large body on the board that gains power equal to the number of Forests you control, rewarding green's natural land-stacking tendency. The payoff is real in the right shell, but six mana for a vanilla-adjacent creature is a steep ask in any competitive context.

In Commander, Okina Nightwatch belongs in mono-green or Selesnya builds that flood the board with Forests — Sasaya, Orochi Ascendant and Azusa, Lost but Seeking decks can make it an enormous threat by mid-game. Outside of those high-land-count shells it's simply outclassed by cheaper threats that also have evasion or built-in utility. In Pauper, where the common card pool keeps power levels modest, Okina Nightwatch is more competitive as a late-game finisher in Tron or mono-green stompy, though the format's removal density keeps it honest. Legacy and Vintage have no interest in a six-mana creature with no enters-the-battlefield effect and no protection.
