Odric's Outrider enters with a +1/+1 counter and puts one on another creature whenever you gain life — that's a continuous anthem stapled to a body, not a one-shot effect. Basri's Lieutenant fills a similar role and sees more play, but Odric's Outrider is the cheaper, more repeatable engine in dedicated life-gain and counters builds.
