Oblivion Strike exiles any creature or planeswalker unconditionally — no targeting restrictions, no color-based immunity, nothing survives it. The cost is four mana at sorcery speed, which is a real ask in a format that moves fast.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t

In Commander, Oblivion Strike earns its slot as colorless removal that any deck can run — black commanders with hexproof-heavy metas aside, the unconditional exile clause handles Darksteel Colossus, Gods, and anything else that laughs at destroy effects. Outside Commander, it struggles: four mana at sorcery speed is too slow for Legacy, Vintage, or Modern, where Fatal Push and Prismatic Ending do more for less. Pauper is the one competitive format where it sees occasional play in colorless or eldrazi builds that need on-theme exile and don't have access to better options. Pioneer decks almost always find a cheaper answer in their colors.

$0.07 bulk tier
At $0.07, Oblivion Strike is deep bulk — you'll find it in any commons box without looking hard. Colorless unconditional exile has enough demand across casual Commander that it's unlikely to hit zero, but don't expect it to climb.
