Nuisance Engine turns three mana plus a tap into a 0/1 Pest token every turn — slow, colorless token production that costs you nothing beyond the initial investment. It earns its slot almost exclusively in decks where token count is a raw resource, and Graaz, Unstoppable Juggernaut is the clearest example of why that matters.

Graaz, Unstoppable Juggernaut
Graaz, Unstoppable Juggernaut turns every creature into a 9/5 Juggernaut, so the 0/1 Pests that Nuisance Engine churns out become repeatable 9/5 attackers — the tokens' base stats are irrelevant, which is exactly the condition that makes a slow token factory worth running.

Commander is the only format where Nuisance Engine sees meaningful play, and even there it's a niche piece rather than a staple. In Legacy and Vintage it's legal but competes with far more efficient token generators and has never found a home. The card's ceiling is a three-mana artifact that produces one token per turn at sorcery speed, which is simply not a competitive rate anywhere outside of highly specific synergy shells. In Commander, those shells exist — sacrifice loops, populate effects, and anthem commanders like Graaz, Unstoppable Juggernaut — but outside them, there are better options at every price point.

Price Context
Current price
$0.27 bulk tier
At $0.27, Nuisance Engine is deep bulk — you're paying for cardboard, not demand. Don't expect the price to move; this is a card you pick out of a dollar box rather than order as a deliberate purchase.
