Non-Human Cannonball enters, draws you a card, and dies immediately — that's the entire point. It's a one-mana cantrip stapled to a creature body, and any deck that wants cheap creatures hitting the graveyard or triggering sacrifice synergies runs it without a second thought.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | not legal |
| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
In Commander, Non-Human Cannonball slots cleanly into aristocrats builds and any deck that wants to flood the graveyard fast — one mana for a body plus a card is efficient enough to justify the slot. In Pauper, where resource efficiency at common rarity is everything, it competes with other cantrip creatures and earns its keep in sacrifice-based shells. Legacy and Vintage are legal homes in theory, but the effect doesn't clear the bar for those formats' power levels outside a narrow combo context. The card is simply doing its best work at the kitchen table or on the Pauper queue.

Price Context
Current price
$0.15 bulk tier
At $0.15, Non-Human Cannonball is deep bulk — you'll find it in bulk bins before you'd bother ordering it. That price is stable because demand is narrow and supply is deep, so don't expect movement in either direction.
