No Way Out forces every opponent to sacrifice a creature or planeswalker, then exile it from the graveyard — a sweeper that dodges indestructible and hits walkers in the same motion. Four mana at sorcery speed is the cost, and it's worth paying.

In Commander, No Way Out earns its slot as a budget board wipe that answers the two most common ways creatures dodge mass removal: indestructible and graveyard recursion. Legacy and Vintage have more efficient answers and won't touch it. Modern and Pioneer offer enough competition in the four-mana sweeper slot that No Way Out rarely makes the cut outside of dedicated sacrifice synergy builds. Pauper is where it gets interesting — sacrifice-based control shells can use it as a clean answer that doesn't require a black-heavy mana base.
