Nissa's Judgment kills a creature and, if you control a Forest or a land with a Forest type, lets your creatures fight the rest — turning one removal spell into a board-wide threat for five mana. That rate is fair but not efficient enough for competitive tables; it earns its slot in casual green stompy shells where redundant fight effects and token-wide attacks actually close games.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | legal |
| pioneer | legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | not legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Nissa's Judgment is legal in Commander, Legacy, Modern, Pioneer, Vintage, and Oathbreaker, but it sees essentially no play outside Commander. In Legacy and Modern the bar for five-mana sorceries is prohibitively high — unconditional removal exists for half the cost. Commander is where the card has a real argument: green stompy and token-wide decks that naturally control a Forest can squeeze multiple fights out of one card, making it a budget answer that scales with board state. In Oathbreaker the faster pace of the format makes five mana feel punishing, so even there it sits on the fringe.

$0.08 bulk tier
At $0.08, Nissa's Judgment is deep bulk — you'll pull it from a bulk bin or pay more in shipping than for the card itself. Bulk fight effects don't appreciate; treat this as a free inclusion for budget decks, not a pickup with any financial upside.
