Nemesis of Mortals is a 5/5 trampler that routinely costs two or three mana in creature-heavy decks, and its activated ability can push it to 10/10 for a similar discount. Graveyard density does all the work — the card rewards you for doing what green already wants to do.

In Commander, Nemesis of Mortals earns a slot in any green deck that fills the graveyard through self-mill, sacrifice, or creature cycling — Golgari and Sultai builds especially. Competitive formats like Modern and Pioneer have faster clocks and more surgical graveyard hate, so a vanilla-ish green creature that needs a stocked bin to shine rarely makes the cut when Tarmogoyf and Questing Druid exist. Legacy and Vintage move too fast for it entirely. Nemesis of Mortals lives and dies in slower, grinder-friendly environments where you can protect your graveyard and take over a game with repeated cost reduction.

Price Context
Current price
$0.07 bulk tier
At $0.07, Nemesis of Mortals is deep bulk — the kind of card you grab as a throw-in without thinking twice. There is no financial angle here; it holds its price floor because it's not a trade target, but it's also never going up.
