Nebelgast Beguiler taps any target creature whenever a Spirit enters under your control — no mana required, repeatable, and stapled to a flying Spirit body that triggers itself. The cost is that the effect only matters if you're already running a Spirit-dense gameplan, making it a strict role-player rather than a general-purpose card.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |

| legacy | legal |
| modern | legal |
| pioneer | legal |
| standard | not legal |

| pauper | legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Nebelgast Beguiler is essentially a Commander card — the Spirit tribal density required to make it function exists almost exclusively in that format's longer games and tribal builds. In Pauper it's technically legal and has a marginal home in Spirit aggro shells, where the tap effect can clear blockers, but the format moves too fast for a 3-mana 1/1 to hold weight. Modern and Legacy have access to far more efficient disruption at this cost, and neither format supports Spirit tribal seriously enough to justify the slot.

Price Context
Current price
$0.07 bulk tier
At $0.07, Nebelgast Beguiler is deep bulk — you're paying almost nothing for a genuine tribal payoff. That price is stable by nature; bulk commons and uncommons don't move unless a format-defining deck picks them up, and nothing on the competitive horizon suggests that's coming.
