Nashi, Moon's Legacy lets you cast spells exiled from opponents' graveyards by paying life, turning every graveyard into a resource pool you control. The life cost is real, but the card advantage is immediate and cumulative — this is a generically powerful value engine, not a build-around.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |

| modern | legal |
| pioneer | legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | not legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Commander is where Nashi, Moon's Legacy does its best work: four opponents mean four graveyards full of targets, and the life total of 40 gives you room to pay aggressively. In Legacy and Vintage the competition is stiff — graveyard-based value has faster, more focused options at those power levels — but Nashi can still slot into slower midrange shells that want incidental recursion. Modern and Pioneer are theoretically legal homes, but a three-mana creature with no immediate board impact is a tough sell in those formats. Oathbreaker offers a similar multiplayer texture to Commander and the card is equally strong there.

Price Context
Current price
$0.54 bulk tier
At $0.54, Nashi, Moon's Legacy is firmly bulk — an easy include that costs less than a sleeve. Bulk rares with this much raw card-advantage potential tend to stay cheap until a breakout finish or Commander reprint drives a spike, so pick up copies now if you want them.
