Nahiri, the Unforgiving turns every attack into an equipment tutor and immediate payoff — she puts the equipped creature directly onto the battlefield swinging, bypassing summoning sickness entirely. The cost is real: five mana for a planeswalker who demands a wide, equipped board to do anything, and she dies to a stiff breeze if opponents have any pressure.

In Commander, Nahiri, the Unforgiving slots into Boros and Mardu Equipment builds as both a tutor and a combat engine — her plus ability rewards exactly the board state those decks construct, and digging four deep every attack step adds genuine card selection on top of the tempo. She's legal in Modern and Pioneer but sees negligible play there; five mana is too slow for those formats, and the payoff requires too much setup to compete with the raw efficiency available. Legacy and Vintage can run her but won't — the formats are too hostile to sorcery-speed five-drops that don't immediately end the game. Oathbreaker is her most exploitable home outside Commander, where she can serve as the oathbreaker herself in an Equipment shell with a tight signature spell.

Current pricing data isn't available for Nahiri, the Unforgiving, so check Scryfall or TCGPlayer for a live number before buying. She's a mythic planeswalker with a narrow enough use case that prices tend to stay moderate — she's not a staple across multiple archetypes, which historically keeps the ceiling low.
