Nahiri, the Harbinger card art
Nahiri, the Harbinger lands as a four-mana planeswalker that loots, exiles problem enchantments and artifacts at plus loyalty, and tutors any creature in your library directly onto the battlefield with her ultimate — that's a full toolkit, not a one-trick piece. The cost is real though: she does nothing to protect herself the turn she enters, so she lives or dies by your board state.

Commodore Guff

47.9% of decks · synergy 0.46

Commodore Guff's passive adds a loyalty counter to each other planeswalker you control at the start of your turn, which means Nahiri, the Harbinger rockets toward her ultimate in two or three turns instead of four — and in a deck already stacking walkers, her looting keeps the engine churning while she charges.

In Commander, Nahiri, the Harbinger earns her slot in planeswalker-dense builds and Boros shells that want a repeatable loot effect alongside spot removal for enchantments and artifacts — both underserved by red-white. Her ultimate fetching any creature and putting it into play is a single-use Tooth and Nail in a format where you'll reliably hit it with loyalty support. In Modern and Pioneer she's largely been outpaced by cheaper or more immediately threatening planeswalkers, and four mana at sorcery speed with no enter-the-battlefield protection is a steep ask in those formats. Legacy has access to better options at every point on the curve. Oathbreaker is her most natural competitive home outside Commander: she's a legal oathbreaker in Boros colors with a built-in win condition stapled to her minus.

Price Context

Current price

$0.44 bulk tier

At $0.44, Nahiri, the Harbinger sits firmly in bulk territory — easy to pick up without a second thought. Bulk mythics with genuine Commander utility tend to stay flat rather than spike unless a new synergy card pushes them, so this is a safe include at current price rather than a spec.
