Mystic Meditation card art
Mystic Meditation draws three cards and puts two lands into play — that's a four-for-one at sorcery speed for five mana. The cost is real: you discard two cards first, so it rewards decks that want cards in the graveyard more than decks that just want cards in hand.

In Commander, Mystic Meditation slots into graveyard-value decks that treat the discard as a feature — reanimator shells, flashback strategies, and Simic or Sultai commanders that want lands accelerating out of the bin alongside draw. Outside Commander, it's legal in Legacy, Modern, Pioneer, Vintage, and Pauper, but those formats move too fast for a five-mana sorcery that asks you to pitch two cards before you see the payoff. Pauper is the only non-Commander format where a slow, high-ceiling draw spell occasionally earns a slot, and even there the competition is stiff. Treat Mystic Meditation as a Commander-first card.

Price Context

Current price

$0.07 bulk tier

At $0.07, Mystic Meditation is pure bulk — you're paying for the cardboard, not the effect. That price is stable by definition; bulk commons don't have far to fall, and a card this niche won't spike without a marquee reprint or sudden tournament breakout neither of which is in the forecast.
