Mysterious Pathlighter turns every Adventure spell into a two-for-one by giving each adventuring creature a permanent +1/+1 counter — and in Gorion, Wise Mentor decks, that counter lands before your commander's triggered ability even resolves. Two mana for a lord effect that scales with your whole game plan is an easy include.

Mysterious Pathlighter is a Commander card through and through — the payoff requires a critical mass of Adventure spells that only 100-card singleton decks reliably support. In Modern and Pioneer it's legal but sees no meaningful play; Adventure synergies in those formats run leaner and faster than a two-mana do-nothing-alone enchantment allows. Legacy and Vintage have no Adventure shells worth mentioning. Oathbreaker could theoretically house it under an Adventure-slanted planeswalker, but the pool of qualifying spells is too thin to make Mysterious Pathlighter worth a slot.
