Myriad Landscape card art
Myriad Landscape is a slow but reliable source of ramp that any mono-color or dual-color Commander deck should consider — it enters tapped, costs two to activate, and fetches two basics, netting a land for one mana investment. The one real cost is tempo: tapping out on turn three to crack it means missing a spell, so it fits better in midrange-to-late-game decks than in aggressive shells. Zimone, Mystery Unraveler and commanders that want a full grip over a fast start are the ideal homes.

Where It Shines

Where the extra mana on turn one matters most

01

Big-mana shells like Pantlaza, Sun-Favored

Pantlaza, Sun-Favored wants seven-plus mana on the table as fast as possible, and Myriad Landscape's two-for-one land fetch accelerates that without eating a spell slot. The turn-three activation lines up cleanly with the kind of ramp-heavy opener these decks are building toward anyway.

Format Analysis

Where it lives, where it can’t

oathbreaker

Myriad Landscape is a Commander card through and through — the format's slower pace and 40-life game length give it room to enter tapped on turn one and pay off the activation cost on turn three without meaningful punishment. In Legacy and Vintage, where it's technically legal, no competitive deck would run a land this slow when the formats reward turn-one and turn-two action above all else. Oathbreaker shares enough of Commander's DNA that Myriad Landscape is serviceable there too, particularly in mono-color builds where basic land density makes the fetch reliable. Treat it as an EDH staple that happens to be legal elsewhere, not a multi-format tool.

Price Context

Current price

$0.24 bulk tier

At $0.24, Myriad Landscape sits firmly in bulk territory — it's the kind of card you pull from a common box rather than order singles for. Multiple printings have kept the price flat, and there's no realistic supply squeeze coming, so buy a copy whenever you see one and don't think twice about the price.
