Commander is the natural home for Mwonvuli Ooze: the longer the game, the more obscene the counter math gets, and green counter-synergy commanders can turn it into a finisher by turn five or six. In Legacy and Vintage it's theoretically legal but competes against formats that simply kill it before the doubling ever matters — no competitive shell wants a slow, sorcery-speed threat. Oathbreaker shares enough of Commander's slower pace that Mwonvuli Ooze is at least viable, though the smaller deck size means less redundancy around it.
