Mothrider Patrol is a Commander card almost exclusively — the flying tribal synergies and token-count thresholds that make it worthwhile simply don't exist in Constructed. In Pauper it's legal but outclassed by more efficient white commons that do more for two mana. Modern, Pioneer, and Legacy have no shell where a 2/2 flyer for three with vigilance clears the bar. Commander is the only format where Mothrider Patrol earns its slot, and even there the home is narrow: you need a commander that rewards raw flying-creature headcount rather than power on individual bodies.
