Morbid Bloom card art
Morbid Bloom puts a Saproling into play for each creature card in a target player's graveyard — that's the payoff, and six mana is the price of admission. In graveyard-heavy metas it overperforms wildly; in any pod where graveyards stay empty, it's a blank.

Slimefoot, the Stowaway turns every token into a drain trigger, so a single Morbid Bloom resolving against a stocked graveyard can close out the game on the spot — drain five, gain five, repeat across the table.

Morbid Bloom is a Commander card through and through. Six mana is too slow for Legacy and Vintage, where graveyards fill fast but so do opponents' win conditions, and no competitive shell there wants a sorcery-speed token generator at this cost. In Commander, the math flips: graveyards accumulate over a long game, opponents run 30–40 creatures each, and the token count on a single Morbid Bloom can easily reach double digits by the midgame. It belongs in any black-green shell that cares about Saproling count or death triggers, and it scales harder in four-player pods than any other format could offer.

Price Context

Current price

$0.26 bulk tier

At $0.26, Morbid Bloom is deep bulk — pick it up in any trade binder without thinking twice. Bulk rares with narrow applications tend to stay cheap, so don't expect this to move unless a future Saproling or graveyard commander pushes it into the spotlight.
