Monstrous Emergence puts a +1/+1 counter on a creature and gives it trample and haste until end of turn — immediate pressure for three mana. It's the card Kona, Rescue Beastie wants to close games with, and it does exactly that without ceremony.

Kona, Rescue Beastie
Kona, Rescue Beastie mills creatures into the graveyard and reanimates them tapped — Monstrous Emergence is the follow-up that turns a freshly reanimated threat into an immediate, trample-swinging clock the same turn it lands.

In Commander, Monstrous Emergence is a finisher enabler in green creature decks that go wide or tall — the haste clause is what actually matters, converting a reanimated or just-cast threat into damage before the table can answer it. Outside Commander, it's legal everywhere but competes in a crowded field of pump spells and combat tricks that do more for less; in Modern and Pioneer it doesn't clear the bar when Heroic Intervention and Blossoming Defense exist at similar or lower costs. Pauper is where it has the most room to breathe if a dedicated stompy shell wants the trample-haste combination on a single card.

Price Context
Current price
$0.19 bulk tier
At $0.19, Monstrous Emergence is bulk — pick it up for essentially nothing and don't think twice about the cost. Bulk commons and uncommons at this price point don't appreciate, but that's irrelevant when the ask is this low.
