Mole Worms locks down a land every turn it stays on the battlefield — tap it, tap a land, and your opponent loses a mana source until Mole Worms leaves or untaps. The cost is that it asks for a two-mana 1/1 that does nothing the turn it enters and dies to any pinged removal.

Commander is where Mole Worms has any real home, specifically in stax and land-disruption shells that want to grind opponents out of mana over several turns. In a 100-card singleton format with longer games, the cumulative effect of tapping a land every turn can matter, especially when stacked with other resource-denial pieces. Legacy and Vintage are legal but irrelevant — faster, more powerful land disruption exists at every point on the curve, and Mole Worms won't see a sleeve in either format. Outside of dedicated stax Commander builds, this is a card that sits in the binder.

Price Context
Current price
$0.16 bulk tier
At $0.16, Mole Worms is deep bulk — you're not paying for power, you're paying for a niche role-player in a very specific archetype. The price is unlikely to move unless a high-profile stax commander drives demand, which isn't on the horizon.
