Mogis's Warhound hits the battlefield as a 3/2 trampler for two mana that pumps the creature it enchants — immediate, aggressive, and efficiently costed. The recursion loop with Dawn Evangel is the real draw; outside that engine, it's a solid but unremarkable Aura.

In Commander, Mogis's Warhound earns its slot almost exclusively in Aura- or enchantress-themed decks that can recur or reattach it — outside that context, a two-mana 3/2 with trample is fine but not competitive with the format's power level. Modern and Pioneer have faster, more resilient threats, so Mogis's Warhound doesn't crack those mainboards unless a dedicated Aura-aggro shell specifically needs the body-plus-enchantment package. Legacy and Vintage have no interest — the card simply doesn't scale. The honest home for it is Commander, in a niche build that values the creature-Aura hybrid, and even there it's a role-player rather than an engine piece.
