Mogg Sentry is a one-mana 1/1 that temporarily pumps to a 4/4 whenever an opponent casts a spell — reactive stats with zero setup required. The floor is low and the ceiling is conditional, which makes it a fringe role-player in spell-heavy metas rather than a staple.

In Commander, Mogg Sentry is most relevant in aggressive red decks — Goblin tribal especially — where a one-drop that punishes interaction and counterspell wars has some texture. The problem is the pump lasts until end of turn and only triggers on opponents' spells, so you're at the mercy of the table's timing; a patient opponent simply waits to cast removal post-combat. In Legacy and Vintage, Mogg Sentry competes against far more efficient one-drops and sees essentially no play. Modern is similarly hostile — the bar for a one-mana creature is now floor-level stats plus an unconditional ability, and Mogg Sentry clears neither.

Pricing data isn't available for Mogg Sentry at the moment, but as a bulk common from an older set it typically sits at a few cents in paper. It's not a card you'd track down unless completing a Goblin tribal list on a strict budget.
