Mintstrosity card art
Mintstrosity enters as a massive token-generating threat and immediately pressures boards, all for a mana cost that scales with how many Food, Clue, and Treasure tokens you already control. Pair it with Nim Deathmantle and a sacrifice outlet and the recursion loop becomes a real win condition.

Commander is where Mintstrosity lives — token-generating artifacts are everywhere in the format, and a single Mintstrosity can arrive as a game-ending body while simultaneously stocking your board with more tokens to feed future plays. Outside Commander, Mintstrosity is legal across every major format, but the payoff demands enough artifact token density to make the cost reduction and token generation meaningful, which is a harder ask in 60-card formats where that infrastructure is less common. In Standard and Pioneer it's a build-around at best; in Modern the power bar is high enough that a conditional large creature without immediate protection rarely makes the cut.

Price Context

Current price

$0.24 bulk tier

At $0.24, Mintstrosity is firmly bulk — low financial risk for any deck that wants it. Bulk rares with genuine combo upside tend to tick up when the right deck breaks them, but at this price you pick up copies now and don't think twice.
