Mindwarper card art
Mindwarper hits the board and immediately strips cards from a target opponent's hand — repeatedly, if you keep feeding it energy counters. The cost is steep: five mana for a 3/3 with an activated ability that drains your own resources just to maintain pressure.

Commander is the only realistic home for Mindwarper, and even there it's a niche inclusion. Three opponents means targeted hand disruption is diluted — you're taxing one player while the other two rebuild freely, and five mana buys far more impactful discard effects elsewhere. In Legacy and Vintage, Mindwarper is legal but wildly outclassed by one-mana discard spells that don't require a creature to survive. Oathbreaker shares the same structural problem as Commander: too many opponents, too few activations per mana spent.

Price Context

Current price

$0.28 bulk tier

At $0.28, Mindwarper is deep bulk — you're paying for cardboard, not power. That price is stable simply because demand is negligible; don't expect it to move.
