Mind Knives makes target player's creatures lose protection from the color of your choice until end of turn — a narrow effect that exists almost entirely to push through a blocked damage step. It's a one-mana sorcery that does nothing on its own, and in Commander that's rarely a trade worth making.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t

In Commander, Mind Knives occupies the most thankless slot in the game: a one-shot, single-target protection-stripper at sorcery speed with zero other upside. The format is full of recursive threats, broad answers, and four opponents — and none of that context makes a one-mana sorcery that reads 'your creatures lose protection from blue until end of turn' look good. In Pauper, where commons matter more and individual games are tighter, the effect is still too situational to earn a slot over almost any removal spell. Legacy and Vintage have access to it but would never touch it.

Price Context
Current price
$0.21 bulk tier
At $0.21, Mind Knives is deep bulk — the kind of card that sits in a common box indefinitely. There's no scenario where demand pressures the price upward, so don't expect it to hold even that floor long-term.
