Militant Angel enters and immediately puts multiple 1/1 Soldier tokens with lifelink onto the battlefield — one for each opponent you attacked that turn — turning a combat step into a board-wide stabilizer. The six-mana cost is real, but the payoff in multiplayer Commander is substantial enough to justify it in any white deck that wants to both pressure opponents and pad its life total.

Militant Angel is a Commander card through and through — the token-per-opponent clause is essentially dead text in one-on-one formats, but in a four-player pod it can produce three lifelink bodies the turn it attacks, which is exactly the kind of multiplayer-scaled payoff that makes six mana feel reasonable. Legacy and Vintage allow it, but six mana for a creature that needs a combat step to generate value will never compete with those formats' threat density. Oathbreaker is worth considering if your planeswalker leans into combat or life-gain, though the 20-life starting total compresses how much the lifelink matters. Play Militant Angel in Commander; ignore it everywhere else.

Pricing data isn't currently available for Militant Angel, so check a live source like Scryfall or TCGPlayer before buying. Given its niche as a multiplayer-focused token generator in a fair creature shell, it tends to stay accessible — but angel tribal and token staples can spike when a new commander pushes the archetype.
