Midnight Entourage card art
Midnight Entourage gives every Aetherborn you control a death trigger that replaces itself with a card, turning a board wipe into a draw engine rather than a tempo loss. The four-mana cost is real, but in any Aetherborn tribal shell the card advantage floor is high enough that it earns its slot.

Midnight Entourage is a Commander card first and almost exclusively — the Aetherborn type line is too narrow to support competitive play in Modern, Pioneer, or Legacy, where tribal payoffs need to either win games outright or come attached to generically powerful bodies. In Commander, tribal decks get the space and the redundancy to make the death-draw trigger fire repeatedly, especially under a commander like Gonti, Lord of Luxury or any black aristocrats shell that wants sacrifice fodder. Outside Commander, the card is legal in Legacy and Vintage but doesn't have the raw power to compete at those price points.
