Miasmic Mummy hits the table and immediately forces every opponent to discard — three triggers at once in a four-player pod. The cost is a 2/2 body for two mana that does nothing beyond that entry point, so it only earns its slot in dedicated discard builds, and Tinybones, Bauble Burglar is the clearest home.
Best Commanders
Commanders with the highest synergy

Tinybones, Bauble Burglar
Tinybones, Bauble Burglar turns every opponent's discard into card advantage and mana, so Miasmic Mummy's enter-the-battlefield trigger firing at three opponents simultaneously is exactly the density of discard events that engine wants to see on turn two.

Tinybones, Trinket Thief
Tinybones, Trinket Thief drains life and draws cards whenever an opponent discards on their turn, and Miasmic Mummy's mass discard on entry front-loads that payoff the moment it resolves.
Aclazotz, Deepest Betrayal
Aclazotz, Deepest Betrayal rewards emptying opponents' hands, and Miasmic Mummy adds a cheap, repeatable-if-blinked discard trigger that keeps hand sizes suppressed.

In Commander, Miasmic Mummy punches above its weight because multiplayer math multiplies its trigger — one cast strips three cards across the table, which is the whole reason it sees play at all. Outside Commander, it's a fringe card at best: Pauper is its most plausible competitive home, where aggressive black discard shells can use it as a budget redundancy piece alongside better one-drops, but it rarely makes those lists. In Modern, Pioneer, Legacy, and Vintage, the effect is too slow and too shallow against focused decks that reload quickly — Miasmic Mummy simply doesn't do enough in a one-on-one context to justify the slot.

Pricing data for Miasmic Mummy isn't currently available in the system, so check Scryfall or TCGPlayer for the latest number. Given its narrow application and bulk-rare profile, it has historically sat at or near bulk pricing — expect to pay very little, which makes it an easy pickup for any discard build.
