Metal Fatigue taps every artifact an opponent controls until end of turn — at instant speed, for two mana. It's a surgical combat trick, not a removal spell, so its ceiling is exactly as high as the board state it's disrupting.

In Commander, Metal Fatigue fills a narrow role: stopping an artifact-heavy player from blocking or activating crew costs during a combat step. It's not a staple — most decks want permanent answers over tempo plays — but in artifact-heavy metas, it can swing a game. In Pauper, where artifacts are common and instant-speed interaction is at a premium, Metal Fatigue has more plausible homes. Legacy and Vintage have enough efficient interaction that it rarely earns a slot over harder removal. Commander is where it sees the most play simply by virtue of singleton variety and the occasional player who needs one more combat trick to close a game.
