Mascot Interception lets you steal a creature token from any opponent and convert it into a 3/2 body — instant-speed, no mana cost beyond the card itself. It's a narrow role-player that earns a slot only when your meta is thick with token producers.

Mascot Interception is a Commander card through and through — three opponents running token strategies makes the card live far more often than in any 1v1 context. In Modern or Legacy, where the spell needs to do real work against a single opponent and token production isn't always reliable, it's too situational to compete for a slot. Pioneer has enough token payoffs to make it theoretically viable, but the card's ceiling is still a 3/2 at instant speed, which is underwhelming in a format with access to more impactful interaction. Stick to Commander, and only if your table regularly fields Rhys the Redeemed, Najeela, or token doublers.

Price Context
Current price
$0.14 bulk tier
At $0.14, Mascot Interception is pure bulk — no financial barrier to picking up a copy if it fits your deck. Don't expect the price to move; this is a niche role-player with a small target audience and no competitive demand propping it up.
