Marsh Hulk card art
Marsh Hulk is a six-mana 4/5 with megamorph — the floor is a vanilla body that no competitive deck wants, and the ceiling is a 5/5 with a +1/+1 counter for seven mana face-down then flipped, which is still unimpressive. Bulk rare territory; there is almost never a reason to run this over a more efficient threat.

Marsh Hulk is legal in Commander, Legacy, Modern, Pioneer, Vintage, Pauper, and Oathbreaker, but legality and playability are different things. In Pauper it sits at common, where six-mana vanilla-statted creatures lose to basically every tempo and aggro deck in the format. In Commander, the only conceivable home is a dedicated morph or megamorph deck — something like a Kadena, Slinking Sorcerer build — where Marsh Hulk at least contributes a face-down body to trigger cost-reduction effects, though it remains one of the weakest hits in that archetype. Everywhere else, the card does not see play.

Price Context

Current price

$0.05 bulk tier

At $0.05, Marsh Hulk is deep bulk — the kind of card that fills a bulk box and rarely leaves it. There is no demand driver on the horizon that would move this price, so don't expect it to hold even that floor if you're trying to move copies.
