Makindi Sliderunner is a two-mana 1/2 that gains trample and grows whenever a land enters the battlefield under your control — payoff is real in landfall decks, cost is minimal. It's a role-player, not a threat, and outside a dedicated landfall shell it does nothing worth a card slot.
Format Analysis

Makindi Sliderunner finds its only real home in Commander landfall decks, where repeated land drops from fetch effects, Cultivate, or Aesi, Tyrant of Gyre Strait can turn it into a trampling threat over several turns. In Pauper it's legal but outclassed by more consistent commons in any aggressive or combo shell. Modern, Pioneer, Legacy, and Vintage have no interest — the ceiling on a two-mana creature that needs external enablers to become relevant is simply too low for those formats.
