Lynx is a 2/1 for one green mana with a landfall trigger that gives it +1/+1 and forestwalk until end of turn — cheap to cast, but the payoff is conditional on both landing a land and facing a green opponent. It's a fine Limited common and a low-priority pickup everywhere else.

Lynx sees the most plausible play in Pauper, where cheap creatures with upside are at a premium and landfall synergies can be exploited in aggressive green shells. In Legacy and Vintage it's simply outclassed — the formats move too fast for a 2/1 that needs setup to matter. Commander is where Lynx falls flattest: the forestwalk clause is near-useless in a four-player pod unless you're running Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth effects, and a 2/1 body does nothing at that scale even when pumped.
