Lumengrid Drake bounces a target artifact when it enters — a 2/2 flier that doubles as a reset button on any artifact threatening the board. The four-mana cost is steep for what you get in most contexts, but in Volo, Guide to Monsters builds that copy each unique creature type, a cloned Drake chains bounce triggers and quickly clears the table of problematic artifacts.

In Commander, Lumengrid Drake is a role-player in artifact-heavy metas where targeted bounce is more useful than straight removal — it can send back an Esper Sentinel or reset a Pithing Needle naming your commander. In Pauper, the format most likely to actually run it competitively, the combination of evasion and on-entry disruption is more relevant, though four mana remains the ceiling of what midrange blue strategies want to pay. Legacy and Vintage have no interest — the bounce effect isn't remotely worth the slot at that power level. Lumengrid Drake finds its most honest home in Commander as a value enabler in enter-the-battlefield or copy-matters shells.

$0.10 bulk tier
At $0.10, Lumengrid Drake is deep bulk — a free inclusion if you already own a copy. There's no meaningful floor to breach here, and the card won't appreciate unless a commander emerges that turns four-mana bounce-an-artifact creatures into a broken loop.
