Lumbering Satyr is a Commander card through and through — the symmetrical downside shrinks in a four-player game where you can politically leverage it or simply outpace the table with a forestwalk-matters build. In Legacy and Vintage, where it's technically legal, a 3/3 for 1GG with a double-edged ability doesn't compete; nobody is registering this in a sanctioned 60-card event. Commander is the only context where Lumbering Satyr does real work, specifically in green decks that run Yavimaya, Cradle of Growth or similar land-type effects to turn the global forestwalk into a one-sided blowout.
