Loyal Pegasus

In Commander, Loyal Pegasus earns its slot only in dedicated go-wide or creature-heavy white builds where it's never attacking alone — in slower or more controlling shells, the restriction is a real liability. Pauper is where it sees the most competitive daylight, slotting into white weenie and skies strategies that consistently go wide enough to ignore the drawback. In Legacy, Modern, and Pioneer, the one-mana 2/1 flyer rate is attractive on paper, but there are enough comparable or better options that Loyal Pegasus rarely makes the cut outside tribal or budget lists. Oathbreaker follows the same logic as Commander: the card rewards density, punishes singleton constraints.
