Lost Hours puts a nonland card from an opponent's hand on the bottom of their library — gone for the foreseeable future — for two mana at sorcery speed. It's targeted discard that also delays rather than just discards, but two mana to strand one card is too slow and too low-impact to earn a slot in most builds.
Format Analysis

In Commander, Lost Hours occupies the awkward space of one-for-one discard against a table of three opponents — stranding a single card from one player rarely shifts a game's outcome, and the bottom-of-library clause rarely matters before the game ends. In Legacy and Vintage, faster and more punishing discard options like Thoughtseize exist, so Lost Hours sees essentially no play. Pauper is its most plausible home, where the card pool is narrower and every piece of hand disruption has more relative weight, but even there it competes poorly with Duress and Raven's Crime.

Price Context
Current price
$0.03 bulk tier
At $0.03, Lost Hours is deep bulk — you can pick up a playset for the price of a pack sleeve. That price reflects real demand: it doesn't hold value because there's almost no competitive context where it's the right call.
