Lithomancer's Focus

In Commander, Lithomancer's Focus earns its slot in aggressive white strategies where one mana of open mana can mean the difference between a commander connecting and getting chumped or killed — the protection from multicolored is genuinely relevant in a format full of Sultai removal and Simic value creatures. In Pauper, where commons-only combat is often decided by single mana, it competes with a crowded field of similar tricks but the protection clause gives it a real edge over vanilla pump. Legacy and Vintage have too many faster axes of interaction for Lithomancer's Focus to see serious play. Pioneer and Modern can use it in white weenie shells, but those formats move quickly enough that conditional protection is often too narrow.
