Instant

Lithobraking card art
Lithobraking makes every creature your opponent controls deal damage to itself equal to its own power — a full board wipe against any deck running creatures with power greater than zero, all for five mana at sorcery speed. That's a clean one-sided reset in token mirrors and go-wide matchups, and the floor is never zero as long as an opponent has anything relevant in play.

Commander is the primary home for Lithobraking — a five-mana sorcery needs the multiplayer card-advantage math to justify the slot, and at a table with three opponents it frequently wipes multiple boards at once while leaving your stuff untouched if you build around it. In 60-card formats like Modern or Pioneer, it's too slow and too conditional; dedicated wraths at three or four mana do the job more reliably, and Lithobraking will rarely see competitive play there. Legacy and Vintage have access to faster, more efficient disruption that makes a five-mana sorcery effectively unplayable in those formats. Standard legality keeps it accessible to newer players building creature-heavy metas, but it competes with cheaper options and will likely remain a casual roleplayer outside Commander.

Price Context

Current price

$0.14 bulk tier

At $0.14, Lithobraking is firmly bulk — a zero-barrier pickup for any Commander player who wants a symmetry-breaker against power-heavy creature decks. Bulk rares at this price point rarely climb unless a commander archetype adopts them en masse, so grab copies now if the effect fits your build and don't expect the price to move.
