Lethal Exploit card art
Lethal Exploit kills any creature with a -X/-X effect sized to a sacrifice you control, hitting indestructible targets that Doom Blade and friends can't touch. One mana is the floor when you're already saccing tokens; it scales cleanly into aristocrats and sacrifice-based strategies that generate bodies as a byproduct.

In Commander, Lethal Exploit earns its slot in any aristocrats or token-sacrifice shell — one mana removal that ignores indestructible is rare, and sacrifice outlets are already on the battlefield in those decks. In Pauper, the common-legal removal pool is deep but mostly color-restrictive, and the exploit trigger opens lines with sacrifice-matters synergies at an accessible cost. Modern and Legacy have cheaper, unconditional removal options that don't require a board presence to function at full power, so Lethal Exploit doesn't compete there outside narrow tribal or combo shells. Pioneer sits in a similar spot — playable in a dedicated sacrifice deck, but not a generic removal slot.

Price Context

$0.11 bulk tier

At $0.11, Lethal Exploit is deep bulk — pick up a playset without thinking about it. Bulk commons with genuine Commander utility rarely spike unless a deck archetype explodes in popularity, so treat it as a free inclusion rather than a spec.
