Lashweed Lurker card art
Lashweed Lurker bounces any nonland permanent when it enters — no targeting restriction, hits anything — and then lets you repeat that every turn by paying its emerge cost from the command zone or your hand. The emerge cost means you're sacrificing a creature to reduce the bill, which synergizes cleanly with sacrifice-matters and graveyard strategies, but a seven-mana ceiling is still a seven-mana ceiling.

Format Analysis

Where it lives, where it can’t

FormatVerdict
commander
legacy
modern
pioneer
standard
vintage
pauper
oathbreaker

Commander is where Lashweed Lurker earns its keep — the format's bloated mana counts and sacrifice-heavy archetypes make emerge genuinely castable, and unconditional bounce on an Eldrazi body is real interaction in a singleton format where targeted removal matters. In Legacy, Modern, and Pioneer it's a non-starter competitively; the format speeds are too high for a seven-mana threat that doesn't win the game on the spot, and emerge doesn't offset that gap when the field is killing you on turn three or four. Vintage allows it but the same logic applies even harder. Oathbreaker skews faster than Commander and cuts Lashweed Lurker's viability sharply unless the signature spell is doing serious acceleration work.

Price Context

Current price

$0.08 bulk tier

At $0.08, Lashweed Lurker is deep bulk — the kind of card you pull from a bulk bin rather than order. That price is stable by default; there's no speculative demand pushing it up and no reprint pressure pushing it further down.
