Lammastide Weave lets you name a card and gain life equal to the number of copies in target player's library — a symmetrical information trade that costs one green mana and a card of your own. The payoff is too narrow and too small to justify a slot in almost any deck.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | legal |
| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | not legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Lammastide Weave is legal in Commander, Legacy, Modern, Vintage, and Oathbreaker, but seeing play in essentially none of them. In Commander, the life gain is negligible at high table totals, the library-information upside requires a dedicated deck-tracking strategy to exploit, and one mana spent on this is one mana not spent on anything that advances your board. Legacy and Vintage move too fast for a card that gains incremental life and no tempo. Modern has no shell that wants this effect — dedicated life-gain decks have far more efficient payoffs available.

Price Context
Current price
$0.12 bulk tier
At $0.12, Lammastide Weave is deep bulk — the price reflects demand, which is close to zero. It holds that floor indefinitely; there is no realistic scenario that spikes a card this narrow.
