Kujar Seedsculptor enters and puts a +1/+1 counter on any creature you control — a serviceable on-board effect, but a 1/2 body for two mana that does nothing beyond arrival is a low bar. It's a role-player only in decks that explicitly reward every counter placed, and even then it competes with better options at the same cost.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | legal |
| pioneer | legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Kujar Seedsculptor is legal in Commander, Legacy, Modern, Pioneer, Vintage, Pauper, and Oathbreaker, but sees virtually no competitive play in any of them. In Commander, the only home is a dedicated +1/+1 counter deck — think Hamza, Guardian of Arashin or Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider builds — where every trigger matters and the body is incidental. In Pauper, commons need to do more for two mana, and this doesn't clear that bar. Everywhere else, it's strictly outclassed.

Price Context
Current price
$0.10 bulk tier
At $0.10, Kujar Seedsculptor is deep bulk — you're paying for cardboard, not power. That price is stable by default: nothing is going to spike demand for a two-mana 1/2 with a single enter-the-battlefield counter.
