Krosan Druid gains you 3 life when it enters — relevant only if you're heavily invested in the threshold mechanic, which requires seven cards in your graveyard before the trigger even fires. Outside of dedicated threshold shells, a 2/1 that conditionally gains 3 life for two mana is not pulling its weight.

In Commander, Krosan Druid is a fringe inclusion at best — threshold is clunky to enable in the early turns when you need the life gain most, and the effect doesn't scale to a 40-life format. Pauper is where Krosan Druid is most plausible, since commons-only graveyard decks can fill the yard faster and every point of life gain has proportionally more impact against aggressive strategies. Legacy, Vintage, and Modern have faster, more efficient options that don't require a setup condition, so it sees no meaningful play there. Pioneer allows it but the card has no competitive home in that format either.
